Loweda sangarawa - Magazine is a great result of the beginning of the use of poetry as a powerful medium to convey Buddhist thought to the general public. The Venerable Veedagama Maitreya Thero has written this great work, Lowada Magazine, in a way that makes the philosophy of life of all Buddhists and non-Buddhists meaningful and enlightens the mind so that one can attain the greatest bliss that one can attain.
This book is said to have been written during the reign of King Parakramabahu VI (1412 - 1467 AD).
Purpose of writing the book - "Especially if you don't know the beatings - now expose the wording"
(I wrote this poem with the intention of making the common people, who are not well versed in the Pali Dhamma, understand the consequences of sinful deeds and work for them)

Although written in a very simple style, this essay is written to give a deeper view of life.
Meaning-
I worship the Supreme Buddha with joy, like the sun who destroys the superstitious darkness of Tirtha, like a doctor who cures Nirvana and cures the disease of samsara suffering.
